A body was reportedly found near the West River, a few hundred yards from the lumber docks last Tuesday evening. Sources say it was a man, with no obvious wounds, but officials have not yet released a name or cause of death. Det. James Owen, has so far declined comment, stating only that the matter was being looked into and asked if anyone had any information to please come forward. (( Original post by Ed Gorse 3/22/2011))

The body of a woman was found in the alley west of The Rumanox Inne, more fondly called by locals as "The Jar". Though no positive identification has been made, the owner of the establishment believes the body to be that of one of his employees, Mary Rickards, who did not show up for her regular shift. Though no official statement has been given by the Detective in charge or the local magistrate, this reporter notes that there was a woman at the crime scene in the company of Detective James Owens. Miss Mina Sinclaire, owner of a small shop on the square. She was observed in a flustered state, as if having just identified the remains found in the alleyway. She was later observed being escorted back to her establishment with the Detective. Our questions have gone unanswered by the local magistrate and the lead Detective, though we are assured that the matters are being looked in to. In related news, there has been no release of a positive identification or cause of death in the case of the man found near the docks a week ago. Some information has come to light, that it could possibly be a missing man from the water district, a cobbler by the name of George McCullough who has not been seen in some time. More information on these stories as it becomes available. (( Original post by Ed Gorse 3/22/2011.))
