Dusk had finally set, the sun was staying up later each day by mere minutes; but two months ago it was dark by 4:30 pm. She hated that, it just meant less sun; though it wasn't as if it mattered much, half the time she slept during the day hours and partied at night. Once her client left, she turned up the volume on the radio and started to clean up her area, sanitizing everything and making sure it everything was good in the back area.
Disturbed's version of The Sound of Silence started to pour out from the speakers in the main waiting area. She was in a pair of jeans and a cozy sweater that hung off one shoulder; her hands came out as if taking some invisible person's hands and her eyes fluttered to a close as she started to dance around, alone, to the melody which rained down from the ceiling.
Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
She didn't hear the door open, or the bell, not right away, or perhaps he used his silencing powers so she wouldn't hear it, but the eerie feeling of somebody standing before her had her eyes fluttering open, just as she felt his cool hands taking hold of hers, pressing his palms to her own and lancing his fingers with her own. When blue eyes saw him standing there, a slow smile appeared over her lips, those eyes nearly glowed in what could be mistaken as excitement, but then that smile faltered and her eyes narrowed.
David was able to sense and judge her small movements, unlike anybody ever could. Seeing that she was about to pull away by the little things most people wouldn't recognize; such as that step backwards she took, or rather the movement of just her foot lifting to move backwards, and the adjustment of her hips away from him. He released her hand, and wrapped his left arm around her waist, pulling her closer to himself. She had been about to say something, her lips parting just a bit, but then his mouth was against her own. Tenderly kissing her as he used to, it obviously angered her to some degree.
Joni's hands came up, as if she were going to cup him by the jawline, instead, her hands nearly palmed against each side of his face, and without thinking about how hard she was digging in, her nails were drawing blood on his cheekbones before they even dragged down his face, and drag they did, they dragged downwards until she came to his jawline and then hands released from his face. Though those hands didn't remain off of him, they pressed hard against his chest afterwards as she was attempting to pull from that kiss and shove him away from her.
David, as usual, thought this was just another game, or perhaps wanted it to be, either way, he didn't care. He did pull from that kiss, looking her over even as his wounds healed, leaving small traces of blood trickles over his face. So goth. He gave her that devilish little smile, that creepy one most girls would run away from; that smile that dangerous smile that drew her in once, and then he went in for that kiss once again.
This didn't sit well for Joni, as nails dug into his chest through his chest, she pushed against him, though she didn't have anything on his strength. Instead, she bit him on his lower lip, in a not so sexy fashion and ripped her head away from him, leaving him bleeding yet again. . . .
He could feel the rage coming off of her, it was as if it were sweat pouring from her very glands, her hand came up and she slapped him, hard across the face, smearing that blood on his face. You wouldn't think he'd be so amused, but the Brujah was laughing as he released her, his hand coming up to rub at his lip, which was healing but that didn't mean it hadn't hurt in some capacity. He wiped fingers across his lip to remove the blood, drawing his hand away and glancing down at his fingers.
"Aww, what's the matter Kitten?" David took a step towards her once again, "You didn't want to see me again? It's been so long, I thought you'd greet me with more... excitement...." He had reached for her again, but she held her hand up in a stop motion..
"I swear to fucking God" She set her jaw and narrowed her eyes on him in a glare. "I will kill you, David" So she really, honestly, didn't know how to kill him, she wasn't a vampire hunter or anything; but the threat was full of poison anyway. She hadn't seen him in over a year and now he shows up? Who the fuck did he think he was, thinking she'd just drop her life for him. She wanted to spit in his face.
Instead of going for her, he moved to the seat she had behind the counter, sitting back and crossing his ankle over his opposite knee, he found her anger hilarious, his eyes sparkled with amusement at her. "You still wear that" He gestured to a necklace she wore. It hung low and was antique looking, heart shaped.
Joni glanced down at it and plucked it between her fingers looking it over before eyes looked up towards him from under long lashes and then eyes rolled and she laughed, "You fucker, that's because of what it holds in it." She was not going to go into some long explanation of why she picked that particular little snuff necklace for that day. It wasn't a favorite because of him but rather she liked the look of it the best, but telling him that would be frustrating and he wouldn't believe her anyway; it would merely sound like excuses.
"I fuckin' hate you, you need to leave" Joni then moved over to him and went to grab him by the back of the neck, but David caught her hand and squeezed her wrist, standing - he pressed towards her.
Backing her up into the wall nearby, his hand not on her one wrist, moved to press lightly against her abdomen and he lowered his face down so he was eye to eye with her, that dangerous grin coming forth once again, "You used to say you hated me during sexy too" He didn't back off, even as Joni turned her head away from him.
"You and I broke up, remember, David? Then you disappeared for over a year, actually it's probably closer to two years now, isn't it? Plenty of time to get over your pathetic ass, Venom" She smirked as her eyes slowly glanced back towards his face.
He didn't like when she mocked him and his hand came out and back handed her, using as much force as he could, which caused her head to hit the wall behind her and the crack of his hand against her cheek bone made her groan out in pain. "Fuck" Her hand rose up to touch at her now tender and pained cheek. It was going to bruise.
"I will be back for you Joni.. you will come with me" And he was gone. Just like that, not allowing her to state anything more towards him.
Joni knew there was no point in saying anything, despite the fact he'd still hear her even after he was gone. She moved over to the door and locked it up before drawing the blinds. She then disappeared into her office. She'd leave in an hour from that point. -d-
