Corren had jus stepped into the small waiting room of the Leviathan, a bed and breakfast establishment he and his men were stationed at until his main organization, the Church, sent them their directive.
In the mean time, he and his small group of men, six in total, had decided to gather in the lobby downstairs. Sometimes when they were sent out on assignment they could get a feeling for what the assignment was about. The overarching goal almost always was to improve wealthy or trade routes for the Church, mostly to allow it to expand greater. This town, so far, had shown little reason for them to be there. In terms of trading, it wasn't along any major routes and so far he hadn't seen that they were trading or producing valuable items.
Then again, they had only been there less than a day. His pregnant significant other was unwinding upstairs and trusted him to take care of the situation.
"What's it look like to all of you?" He said, addressing Jared, who was perhaps the man out of all of his that he was closest to.
Jared shook his head no to indicate that nothing new had been understood and looked back towards the door, "Perhaps we should just walk around town. Whatever we saw from the harbor or on our way here hasn't given us much of a clue."
"Sounds good to me." Corren adjusted his uniform, which was quite similar to that of his men, and nodded towards the door, "We'll go and look for whatever supplies were needed on the ship. Restock before it gets dicey."
"If that happens," one of the other men said, starting for the door, "Sometimes the missions are boring. I don't want to get wound up in the hopes for something fun only to find we're running errands."
Corren was the highest ranking in the group, equivalent to the status of a prince though his official title was that of prefect, "Let's go, then. We'll walk the town and see what's around."
What he wasn't to see wasn't what was immediately around them, though. His eyes went to Jared and he arched a brow, "Ready?"
